Putin,Kim Jong Un Join Xi Jinping in Beijing Parade Signaling Growing Alliance
BEIJING – Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un joined Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Thursday for a military parade showcasing China’s growing military strength and a deepening alignment between teh three nations. The display of unity comes amid escalating geopolitical tensions and increasing friction with the United States.
The coordinated appearance of the three leaders underscores a burgeoning anti-U.S. bloc, signaling a potential shift in the global power dynamic. Just last week, the U.S. imposed 50% tariffs on India for purchasing Russian oil, a move highlighting Washington’s efforts to isolate moscow and curb it’s revenue streams. This event, coupled with the visible camaraderie between Xi, putin, and Kim, suggests a counter-alliance is solidifying, challenging American influence in Asia and beyond.
During the parade, Xi Jinping aimed to project China as a stable and dependable partner, while simultaneously demonstrating its expanding alliances, influence, and military capabilities. The message, observers say, is largely directed toward China’s strategic competitor across the Pacific.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, an ally of former President Donald Trump, characterized the summit as ”performative,” accusing China and India of acting as “bad actors” by supporting Russia’s war efforts.
The event marks a significant moment in the evolving geopolitical landscape, perhaps foreshadowing increased cooperation between China,Russia, and North korea in economic, military, and political spheres.
