The municipality of Tangier has announced the entry into force, from July 9, of a regulatory decision relating to the organization of vehicle parking, according to the names of efficiency, digitalization and transparency, in addition to improving the relationship with users.
The municipality specified, in a press release, that this decision stipulates that freedom of movement and mobility will not be compromised, by prohibiting the sabot break, while ensuring the fluidity of traffic in the different streets and places of the city, by rationalizing the use of the spaces allocated to parking and respecting the principle of alternation and equal access to the parking lot for all users.
This regulatory decision n ° 2022/1357 relating to the exploitation of paid car parks, as part of a delegated management of parking services, aims to strengthen the attractiveness of the city of the Strait and to modernize the management of its spaces from a perspective of development in line with the remarkable dynamics that the city knows, “explained the same source, noting that this decision is part of the parking service and to improve the quality of the services provided.
As part of the promotion of fundamental rights of people with disabilities, the municipality has announced that parking will be free for this category, through the development of spaces reserved for them, noting that other categories, in particular residents and merchants, will benefit from preferential subscription formulas at reasonable prices, ensuring priority access to parking.
And in order to guarantee the correct application of the provisions of this regulatory decision, the municipality of Tangier indicated that it has taken a set of measures, including the mobilization of human resources, including sworn agents, logistical means and necessary technical equipment, as well as the installation of the horizontal and vertical signaling at the level of the areas concerned and the update of the display panels of schedules and tariffs, in accordance with international standards in force.
The municipality has thus reiterated its commitment to equal access and transparency in the exploitation of parking spaces, as well as for the modernization and development of this vital public service, calling users and actors of civil society to respect the provisions of this decision and to support its implementation.
She said her commitment to make all the necessary measures to guarantee the correct application of this decision, in compliance with the laws and regulations in force.
