saint-Étienne-les-Orgues to Host “Sainté en Rose” Event for Breast cancer Awareness

Saint-Étienne-les-Orgues, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence – The municipality of Saint-Étienne-les-Orgues, in ⁢partnership with House Action Health Lure, will host “Sainté en Rose” – a day-long event dedicated to breast cancer awareness and fundraising – on Sunday, October 5, ⁢2025. The event aims to inform ‌women and men about screening, treatment, and support related to breast cancer, while also promoting the importance of early detection.

“Sainté en​ Rose” builds on the‌ national and international momentum of Pink October, a month-long mobilization against ⁤breast cancer. Local merchants ‍will ⁣actively ‍participate, offering a variety of activities⁤ from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The day’s‌ schedule includes a series of wellness activities beginning with Vinyasa yoga at 9:30 a.m., ​followed ​by a Nia dance session – a practice blending dance, martial arts, and body awareness -‌ at 10:30 a.m. A conference on “female hormones at any age” will be held at 11:30 a.m., preceding ​another yoga session.

Throughout the day, workshops will focus‌ on breast ⁣cancer screening ⁤awareness, including self-examination techniques (autopalpation).Additional workshops will be offered in “Therapist art,” reflexology, and massage.

Participants can also join a solidarity hike departing at‌ 2 p.m.‍ from ‍the media library. the hike offers two looped routes – 5km and 9km – and is open to walkers,runners,cyclists,and even‌ equestrians. Registration is €20,​ and food and beverages will be available on-site.

The event underscores the critical importance of breast cancer⁤ screening, with studies showing​ that 1 in 2 women report lacking ​sufficient knowledge about the disease.‌ “Sainté en​ rose”‍ seeks to address this gap and empower individuals with the ⁢details they⁢ need to prioritize their health.
