Beacon, NY – A Philadelphia man has been convicted in connection with the 2022 murder of lionell Pittman, 32, of Beacon. Khyree Pratt, 24, was found guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, second-degree conspiracy, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Pittman was fatally shot just before 7 p.m. on May 14,2022,at his home in the forrestal Heights housing complex near West Center Street. Authorities say Pratt shot Pittman in the head as part of a prearranged agreement, receiving financial compensation for his involvement.
“This verdict sends a clear message,those who plot violence and those who carry it out will be held fully accountable,” Dutchess County District attorney Anthony Parisi stated. “This defendant and shooter, along with every conspirator who played a role in this calculated and cold-blooded murder, will face the consequences of their actions. Justice does not stop with the trigger - it reaches everyone behind the plan.”
Pratt’s sentencing is scheduled for november 24.
