Video Surfaces in Deadly Halloween Night Attack of Andes University Student
Bogotá, Colombia – Disturbing video footage has emerged showing the brutal assault that led to the death of Jaime Esteban Moreno Jaramillo, a 20-year-old student at Los Andes University, on Halloween night. the incident occurred outside Before Club + in Bogotá around 3:00 a.m. and has sparked outrage and a police investigation.
Moreno Jaramillo succumbed to his injuries hours after the attack, which involved multiple assailants. The release of the video, circulating widely online, provides a harrowing account of the violence and has intensified calls for justice. Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with the case: Juan Carlos Suárez Ortiz,Kaleidymar Paola Fernández Sulbarán,and Bertha Parra Torres,all currently in police custody.
according to a witness account provided to EL TIEMPO, Moreno Jaramillo was walking with friends when they were pursued by a group. “They ran after us. The two men punched Jaime several times until he was knocked to the ground. Once on the ground they kicked him in the face and body,while the woman in the blue costume encouraged them to continue. The woman in the black suit just watched,” the witness stated.
The video corroborates this testimony, showing Moreno Jaramillo being repeatedly struck while on the ground. Two women are visible in the footage; one allegedly inciting the violence and the other observing without intervening.
Authorities report that Moreno Jaramillo was immediately transported to a hospital following the attack,but the severity of his injuries proved fatal. The investigation is ongoing, and the three arrested individuals await prosecution.
