Colombia Launches Free Google Courses to Bridge the Digital Skills Gap
BOGOTÁ, Colombia – Colombians have a limited-time possibility to gain in-demand tech skills through a new initiative launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in partnership with google. The Advancez Program is offering free, fully online courses in critical areas like cloud computing and generative artificial intelligence, aiming to empower citizens to participate in – and lead – the country’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
These flexible courses, available until September 30th, are designed to fit the schedules of working professionals and individuals seeking to upskill. Successful completion leads to internationally recognized certifications, bolstering career prospects and resumes.
Currently available courses include:
* Google Cloud Engineering: This program focuses on the practical application of Google Cloud services, covering implementation, automation, storage solutions, AI-powered app advancement, and Kubernetes.
* Generative Leader: Participants will delve into the fundamentals of generative AI, learning to craft effective prompts using Vertex AI and gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools like Gemini Advanced, NotebookLM, and Google AI studio.
* Google Cloud Computing Foundations: This course provides a comprehensive overview of cloud resource management, networking, security, and the core principles of data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
