Powerball Announces Winner of $1 Billion Jackpot for Aug. 30 Drawing
A single ticket sold in Michigan has matched all six numbers drawn in the Powerball for Saturday, August 30, 2025, securing a jackpot of $1 billion. The winning numbers were 12, 17, 22, 33, 51, and Powerball 26. The Power Play was 2x.
This marks the second billion-dollar Powerball jackpot awarded in 2024-2025, following a $1.326 billion prize won in Oregon on April 6,2024. The Michigan winner has the option to receive the full $1 billion prize paid out over 30 years, or a lump-sum payment estimated at $516.8 million before taxes. Lottery officials have not yet released data regarding the winner’s identity.
