Gaza Under Fire: One Million Ordered too Evacuate as Attacks Intensify
Gaza City - The Israeli military has dramatically escalated attacks across the Gaza Strip, wiht a particular focus on Gaza City, resulting in numerous palestinian deaths and injuries, including notable numbers of women and children. Simultaneously, approximately one million Palestinians have been ordered to evacuate southwards, creating a humanitarian crisis as displaced civilians navigate streets littered with rubble.
Reports from Arab media outlets, including Wafa and Al Jazeera, detail relentless air strikes targeting densely populated residential areas. Continuous bombing campaigns have persisted for days, and last night, residents of western Gaza City reported suffering illness due to the deployment of heavy smoke bombs, according to Wafa.Israeli forces have conducted raids in the Sabra district south of Gaza City,alongside drone surveillance in the Sheikh Radwan district. The Zeitoun district, east of Gaza City, is currently surrounded by Israeli troops. Further north,in jabalia al-Nazla,reports allege the use of remotely operated robots equipped with explosives to demolish civilian homes.
The violence isn’t limited to Gaza City. Machine gun fire was reported by sources towards the eastern part of Deir Al-Balah in the Central Gaza Strip, and a house in the Al-Karama area, northwest of Gaza City, was bombed, tragically killing a mother and her son and injuring others. Bombings have also been recorded in the refugee camps of Al Nuseirat and Khan Younis, and even in the Mawasi area of Rafah – the designated zone for displaced persons.
The Al-Awda hospital in Gaza city confirmed receiving eight fatalities in the last 24 hours, including three children, and treating 40 injuries, nine of whom were women. This influx of casualties followed an attack during the distribution of humanitarian aid in the Central Gaza Strip.
The escalating conflict is placing immense strain on already limited resources and raising serious concerns about the safety and well-being of civilians trapped within the Gaza strip. The mass evacuation order and ongoing bombardment are creating a deepening humanitarian catastrophe.
