Cook, 64,⁢ took to social media to commend photographers for sharing their perspectives ⁤through the iPhone. He specifically highlighted a vibrant photograph by⁣ Nay Jiménez, praising its striking colors. “The colors of this photo of Nay ‌Jiménez are so vibrant,” Cook stated in his post.

Jiménez, a 35-year-old Lifestyle ⁣photographer and founder of Fruta Studio, expressed her surprise and delight ‍at the acknowledgement. “I’m in… ⁣I ⁤can’t believe it. I hadn’t heard,” she shared wiht La Tercera. She noted she received a direct notification about the⁣ mention from Apple.

Did You Know? Nay Jiménez initially pursued photography after the launch of Instagram in 2010, purchasing her first iPhone specifically to access the platform.

From Advertising to Art:‍ Jiménez’s Journey

Jiménez’s passion for photography blossomed with the advent of Instagram. She transitioned from a career in ‌advertising to dedicate herself fully to her artistic vision. “When Instagram ⁣appears ‍it seemed ⁤to ⁣me that ⁣it was the best request in the world,” she recalled. “I‍ decided to give up advertising and start dedicating ⁣myself to photography.”

Her visual influences include ‍British ⁤photographer Martin Parr,⁤ American artist David LaChapelle, and filmmakers Sofia Coppola and wes Anderson. “for me it is like the master ⁣of color and‍ it is also something that characterizes my work,” she explained, referencing Anderson’s distinctive style.

The⁢ Story Behind the Image

The photograph featured by Cook was taken during a vacation with Jiménez’s⁣ eight-year-old daughter in ⁣Chañaral de Aceituno, Chile. The ⁣image captures a tender ‍moment after a swim in the ocean, with Jiménez wrapping her daughter in a ⁣blanket against the wind.”I really like‌ it as it is indeed a very nice⁤ moment,” Jiménez said. “It is also a very magical place in Chile.”

iPhone Photography: A Professional’s⁤ Perspective

Jiménez emphasizes the iPhone 16 Pro’s ⁣capabilities, notably its excellent sensitivity and image stabilization.”It has very good sensitivity and ‍super ⁢good stabilizer,” she noted. She also prefers shooting in RAW format for greater editing⁢ flexibility. “I edit everything on⁤ the phone,” she added, utilizing apps like VSCO and Tezza.

Pro⁢ Tip: Shooting in RAW format preserves more image data, allowing for ‌greater control during post-processing‍ and color correction.

having previously worked as an ambassador for ⁢another phone brand, Jiménez believes the iPhone ‍delivers a more authentic and faithful⁤ depiction of reality. ‌ “the iPhone does not‌ adorns the photo‍ like other devices,” she explained. “It shows⁢ you the details as they are.” ⁤ This aligns with research suggesting that smartphone cameras are increasingly capable of producing professional-quality images (Adobe, 2023).

Feature iPhone Advantage (Jiménez’s View)
Image Stabilization Superior, ⁢reducing the need for tripods
Color Accuracy More faithful to reality, less artificial enhancement
RAW Format ⁢Support greater editing flexibility and control
Sensitivity Excellent performance in low-light conditions

Capturing the Essence‍ of‍ a Moment

For Jiménez, photography is about capturing the ‍energy and emotion of a moment.⁣ “I ‍think that is how lovely the iPhone of being able to portray well ‌at the time⁣ how the clouds of the ⁤background are seen,” ‍she said. “It is our eye, it is our intuition, it is our sensitivity.” What kind of stories do you‍ hope to tell⁣ through your own photography?

She encourages aspiring photographers to focus⁤ on observation and presence, ‌rather than solely relying on expensive equipment. “I don’t⁤ need ⁣the best camera to take ‍a good photo,” she asserted.”it has to do with observing and being in an image.”
