A construction worker suffers spinal injuries after falling from a building in Manhattan this morning.
In Citizen App images you can see the scene of the event that occurred shortly before nine in a building on Eighth Avenue between West 45th and 46th streets.
The city Department of Buildings says the accident site is a 52-story building undergoing partial excavation and foundation work.
The inspectors who arrived at the scene were told that the worker was accessing some stairs when he fell from a height of five feet and injured his back.
He was treated at the scene and transported to Bellevue Hospital.
The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
