JR Automation to Invest $72.8 Million in New Global Headquarters in Zeeland, Michigan
Zeeland, MI – September 3, 2025 – JR Automation, a leading global provider of bright automated manufacturing technology solutions, announced today a significant $72.8 million investment in a new,state-of-the-art global headquarters in Zeeland,Michigan. The project,unveiled jointly by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the Hitachi Group,signals a strong commitment to innovation,job creation,and the West Michigan community.
The new campus,planned for a 45.5-acre site at 800 E. Riley Ave, will consolidate three existing JR Automation locations in the Holland area, freeing up valuable industrial space. The development will feature a 40,000-square-foot office building alongside a 210,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, complete with office areas and thorough site improvements.
Lakeshore advantage projects the new headquarters will house 350 employees and generate an estimated 150 new jobs,alongside millions in private investment. The project is currently under review by the Zeeland Planning Commission, with a public hearing scheduled for September 4th.
