Vice President Vance to Visit Michigan Manufacturing Facility Wednesday
HOWELL, Mich. – Vice President JD Vance will visit a precision metal stamping facility in Howell, Michigan, on Wednesday, Sept. 17, the white House announced Monday. Details regarding the time, specific location, and public access to the event have not yet been released.
Vance, who previously served as a U.S.Senator from Ohio, is expected to deliver remarks on the impact of recent tax cuts proposed by President Donald Trump and passed by Congress on working families and businesses. This visit continues Vance’s focus on bolstering American manufacturing, a key tenet of the Trump governance’s economic agenda.
The declaration follows Vance’s hosting of “The Charlie Kirk Show” at the White House on monday, a tribute to the late show host featuring guests including Tucker Carlson. The event occurred following the shooting death of Charlie Kirk, CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA, at an event in Utah.
Vance has visited Michigan several times, including a March trip to a plastics manufacturing facility near Bay City where he discussed a potential resurgence in manufacturing under the Trump administration. However, recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates a downturn in the manufacturing sector, with 12,000 jobs lost in August.
Vance’s Michigan visit coincides with President Trump’s trip to the United Kingdom.
