Ohio Projects Create 1,200 Jobs, Boost Payroll

Great Day Improvements, a prominent direct-to-consumer provider and manufacturer of high-quality home improvement products, is significantly expanding its operations across ohio. The company, which boasts over 300 locations nationwide and began as two Cleveland-based brands, Patio Enclosures and Stanek Windows, has since acquired several other companies, including Leafguard, Champion Windows, and Apex Energy Solutions.

The expansion will see Great Day Improvements establish a presence in Sharonville (Hamilton County), Twinsburg (Summit County), and Walton Hill and Bedford Heights (Cuyahoga County).

In Northeast Ohio, the project is projected to generate 421 full-time positions, contributing $22 million to the annual payroll. This expansion involves consolidating business operations across various sites and acquiring a new facility to enhance efficiency and boost manufacturing capabilities. The project has secured a 10-year job Creation Tax Credit of 1.743 percent from the Tax Credit Authority (TCA).

Similarly, in Southwest Ohio, great Day improvements anticipates creating 583 full-time jobs, adding $30 million to the annual payroll.This initiative includes implementing additional shifts to their production schedule to scale up manufacturing. The TCA has also approved a 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit of 1.743 percent for this expansion.

In a separate development, Picanova Inc., a manufacturer of decorative and lifestyle accessories, is relocating its operations from Arizona to Obetz, a community south of Columbus in Franklin County. This move is expected to create 246 full-time jobs with an annual payroll of $13 million. Picanova is recognized as one of the world’s largest producers of custom wall décor. The TCA has granted Picanova a nine-year Job Creation tax Credit of 1.599 percent for this relocation.
