Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begins in New York City

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to Feature Foreigner, Lil Jon, and ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Stars

NEW YORK CITY – the 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off in New York City this Thursday, November 23rd, bringing spectacle and holiday cheer to millions lining the streets and watching on television. This year’s event promises a vibrant mix of musical performances, elaborate floats, and iconic balloons, culminating in the arrival of Santa Claus.

The parade’s entertainment lineup includes rock band Foreigner,hip-hop artist Lil Jon,and the breakout stars Audrey Nuna,EJAE,and Rei Ami of HUNTR/X – the fictional K-pop group central to the Netflix hit “KPop Demon Hunters.” Adding to the diverse roster, the renowned Radio City Rockettes and cast members from Broadway productions of “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Just in Time,” and “Ragtime” will also participate.

Beyond the performers, the parade will showcase dozens of floats, clown groups, and marching bands.New additions to the aerial display include a large balloon depicting an onion carriage from the “Shrek” franchise, complete with eight characters. “KPop demon Hunters” will also be represented in the sky with balloons of Derpy Tiger and Sussie.

The nationwide broadcast will be hosted by savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Hoda Kotb on NBC, while Andrea Meza, Aleyda Ortiz, and clovis Nienow will lead coverage on Telemundo.Viewers can also stream the parade live on NBC’s Peacock streaming service.
