TRUMBLE, MI – The LIV Golf Team Championship at Trump National Golf Club Michigan drew large crowds Saturday, with a unique blend of golf and entertainment attracting attendees beyond traditional golf fans. Despite light rain, spectators enjoyed the semifinal round of the tournament, which will culminate Sunday with a concert by Swedish House Mafia and the crowning of the 2025 team champions.
The LIV Golf League, launched in 2022, features 12 teams competing in a team-based format. The league has attracted several prominent golfers who previously competed on the PGA Tour, sparking controversy and debate within the golf world.
Cameron Tringale thrilled the galleries on the 13th hole with an eagle, celebrated with a raised hat and cheers from the crowd.
Chelsea pavuk,41,of Dundy,and her son,Nic,16,attended the event as an anniversary party. “There’s something for us, too, which I appreciate, because we actually came here for our anniversary,” Chelsea Pavuk said. “I was expecting to walk in and find this big serious golf thing, but they literally have everything.”
Nic pavuk, 16, noted the event’s broader appeal. “I bet you’ve never seen a parachute at a golf tournament,” he said, laughing. “It’s awesome, I feel like that stuff just gets younger people to come. It’s not just for golf.”
