Carson High Basketball Hall of Fame to Induct Eight New Members

Carson⁤ High to Enshrine Eight​ New Members, Three Teams​ into​ Basketball hall of⁢ Fame

CARSON ​CITY,‌ Nev. – Carson⁢ High School will⁣ expand its basketball Hall of Fame wiht the induction of ​eight ‌individual players ‍and three championship teams ⁣during a ceremony this fall. the additions ⁤recognize outstanding‍ contributions to the storied history of​ the program, spanning multiple decades of athletic achievement.

The Hall of Fame class includes Jamie Glon,Lynda Upton (class of 1997),and Pam Williams (Class of‍ 2000),alongside five other former players. Additionally, the 1978, 1983, and 1996 teams will be honored for their ‌championship ‍seasons. The inductions celebrate‌ the enduring legacy of Carson ⁣High basketball‍ and provide a link between​ past successes⁢ and the program’s ​future.

Lynda Upton lettered ​all ⁣four years from ‌1993-1997, contributing ​to three Northern Nevada AAA Division II ‍Championships, including a 1996 Nevada AAA State Championship ​runner-up finish. She concluded her career with ⁢1,378 points and ranks⁢ among the⁤ program’s all-time leaders in assists and ⁢steals.Upton was a Northern ⁤Nevada AAA ​All-League⁢ first ​Team selection in her sophomore, junior, and senior years, earning ‍Nevada AAA All-State Honors each of those years as well.

Pam Williams lettered from⁢ 1997-2000, serving as team ⁣MVP three times. She is⁣ the second ⁢all-time ​leading ⁢rebounder in ⁤Carson ⁤High‌ history with 994 rebounds ​and fifth in ⁣scoring with 1,275 points. Williams’⁢ teams consistently reached the AAAA State Tournament, advancing‍ to ⁣the semifinals ​three times. She earned Northern⁤ Nevada⁤ 4A‍ Conference and nevada State 4A honors as a‍ sophomore and junior, and was named co-Player of the Year in the Northern Nevada 4A, First Team ⁤4A All-Conference, First Team 4A All-State, ‌NIAA Top 10‌ Student Athlete of the year, and earned NIAA All-State Academic team honors all four ⁣years.
