Car crashes off 300-foot cliff in California, occupants uninjured | Abroad

Miraculously, an American couple sustained barely any injuries after falling off a 300-foot cliff in California. The couple’s car flew off the road and landed upside down at the bottom of the ravine.

Cloe Fields, 23, was driving with her boyfriend Christian Zelada, 24, on the edge of a steep cliff along Monkey Canyon, north of Los Angeles, on Tuesday when another road user honked his horn and tried to surpass the two. Disaster struck when Zelada lost control of her wheel due to gravel on the road.

Los Angeles Police Department footage shows the car crashing into the rock face. Other than a few bruises, some neck pain and a minor concussion, the two were unhurt.

There was no coverage in the deep canyon, but thanks to a function on Fields’ iPhone, the two were able to call 911.

Against the rescuers who took the two to hospital by helicopter The New York Times that such cliffside accidents were always fatal. “We were among those out of 100 million who made it out alive,” Zelada said.
