▶ The 27th Cancer Fund Fundraising Golf Tournament next Month
The 27th Cancer Fund Fundraising Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, the 17th, next month, aiming to support cancer patients and their families. The event will commence with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club, located at 456 Shadows Drive in Front Royal, Virginia.
choi Eung-gi, the director of the competition, stated, “The cancer eradication campaign, which began with a Taekwondo competition, celebrated its 33rd anniversary this year. Last year, we raised $1,500 and delivered it to Blue Ridge Hospice and Innova Hospital Am Research Foundation. I want to create hope by gathering our collective efforts.”
The chairman of the conference is Lee Kyu-young, CEO of New Grand mart.
The participation fee is $100, which includes green fees, cart usage, meals, and drinks. A dinner and awards ceremony will follow the tournament at the clubhouse. Funds raised will be donated to the American Cancer Association and Blue Ridge hospice, in addition to proceeds from the 33rd Cancer Taekwondo Contest on October 18. Two hole-in-one prizes are available: a round-trip ticket to Korea, provided by Tower Travel Agency, and $10,000, also from Tower Travel Agency.
The tournament, hosted by the non-profit institution ‘Kick cancer Out of the World’ (KCOW), with CEO Choi Eung-gil, receives special sponsorship from Hankook Ilbo and the U.S. Embassy. Additional sponsors include New Grand mart, Top Female Event, Omni Fire, Coam Real Estate, Innova Hospital cancer Research Foundation, Samcheok, Gangwon-do, Korean Association of Virginia, World Martial Arts Federation, TEETOP Golf Association, Virginia and D.C. Kukki branch, and the Washington Korean Cultural Center. Sponsored organizations and individuals are eligible for tax deductions.
