AI Editing Sneak Peeks: Adobe’s New Creative Tools

Adobe Showcases AI Tools Capable of Revolutionary⁣ Video⁣ & Photo Editing

SAN JOSE, CA ‌ – Adobe unveiled a series of experimental AI-powered tools at its Max⁤ event, demonstrating potential future capabilities for its ⁤Creative Cloud software ⁣and⁣ Firefly apps. A standout feature allows users to edit entire videos by manipulating a single frame – drawing ⁤where to place objects and using AI prompts to define what to ⁤add. The system intelligently applies these changes consistently throughout the video, even creating contextually aware elements like‌ reflections in puddles based on⁢ existing video⁣ content (e.g., a cat’s movement).

Beyond video, Adobe showcased “Project Light Touch,” a generative AI tool⁤ for reshaping light in photos. This allows for changes to lighting direction, simulating switched-on lamps, and controlling light and shadow ⁢diffusion. ‍Users can ‌even‍ drag dynamic lighting across an⁤ image, realistically illuminating⁣ objects and ⁢altering environments from day to night, with adjustable color options.

Another new tool, “Project Clean Take,” utilizes⁢ AI prompts to modify speech ⁣within⁤ videos without requiring re-recording. Users can alter‍ delivery, emotion, or even replace words while maintaining ‍the speaker’s original voice characteristics. The tool also automatically separates background noises into individual sources, ‌enabling ‍selective‌ adjustment or muting for‌ improved audio clarity.

Other notable “Sneaks” previewed include: ⁣”Project Surface Swap” for instantly changing object ‍textures; “Project Turn Style” for rotating objects in images as if they were 3D; and “Project New Depths,” which ‌allows photo editing as if working within a 3D ‌space, intelligently obscuring ⁢inserted objects.‌

These “Sneaks” are experimental‍ and not guaranteed to become official features. However, Adobe notes that previous ‍”Sneaks” projects, such as Photoshop’s Distraction Removal and Harmonize tools, have been⁤ successfully integrated into its software suite. More details on each project are ⁣available on the Adobe blog: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2025/10/30/adobe-max-2025-sneaks-where-ai-creativity-play-collide.
