Microsoft is decking the halls – and your wardrobe – with a fresh batch of ugly holiday sweaters, bringing back the popular tradition after a one-year hiatus. The companyS online store and select retail locations now offer designs celebrating Microsoft’s past, including a retro “Artifact” sweater featuring Clippy, MSN, Minesweeper, Internet Explorer, and MS-DOS, alongside dedicated options for Zune and Xbox fans.
Microsoft first gifted its iconic sweaters to Windows enthusiasts in 2018,and began selling them to the public in 2020. The company skipped a sweater release in 2024, but this year’s collection includes the “Artifact” sweater priced at $79.95, a Zune-themed brown sweater also at $79.95,and a pre-orderable green Xbox sweater for $59.95. All three styles are available through the Microsoft online company store, at the Microsoft Visitor Center in Redmond, Washington, and at the Microsoft Store experience center in New York City.
The “Artifact” sweater prominently features the beloved (and sometimes bemoaned) digital assistant Clippy, surrounded by a nostalgic array of Microsoft icons. The Zune sweater boasts a prominent play button, while the Xbox version offers a festive green design for gaming enthusiasts.
