Fajar and Fikri, a relatively new pairing formed mid-year, have quickly become contenders, while Raymond and Joaquin represent a new wave of Indonesian badminton stars. ”We are grateful that there is a regeneration of men’s doubles who are ready to compete at the top level, hopefully they can be consistent. But if we talk about tomorrow, we want to be the champions,” fajar stated, according to a PBSI release.Fikri echoed his partner’s sentiment, emphasizing the need to reduce unforced errors in the final match. “In the evaluation earlier, we still made a lot of our own mistakes. Tomorrow we have to minimize this,” he said.
Beyond the men’s doubles, Indonesia also secured a spot in the women’s doubles final, featuring Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari against Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum.
