Google’s AI Video Tool Flow Gains advanced Editing & Audio Capabilities
MOUNTAIN VIEW,CA – May 15,2024 - Google is significantly enhancing its AI video generation tool,Flow, with new features focused on realism and expanded audio options, announced Wednesday. The updates, tied to the Veo 3.1 release, aim to make AI-generated videos even more convincing and offer creators greater control over their projects.
Flow users can now refine the lighting and shadows within their AI-created videos, a key step in achieving more photorealistic results. Alongside these visual improvements, Google is rolling out several new audio generation features. “Ingredients to Video” allows users to create a video with audio based on three reference images. The “Frames to Video” feature generates a video bridging a starting and ending image, complete with accompanying audio. Additionally, “Scene Extension” enables users to extend existing clips by up to a minute, with AI-generated video and audio seamlessly added to the final second of the original footage.
Veo 3.1 is priced the same as Veo 3 and is currently available to developers through a paid preview via the gemini API, as well as within the Gemini app. Google also revealed plans to soon allow Flow users to remove objects from videos, intelligently restructuring the background to create a seamless result as if the object had never been present.
