Venezuelan Woman Released Linked to Murdered Colombian Singer in Mexico

Venezuelan Woman Released in Connection to Murder of Colombian Singer in Mexico

Mexico City – Authorities in⁤ Mexico have released Angelica Torrini, a 29-year-old Venezuelan citizen, who was briefly detained in​ connection with⁣ the murders of Colombian singer Bayron ‌Sánchez, known as B King, and DJ‌ Jorge Herrera (Regio Clown). The release comes⁢ as investigations continue into the deaths of ‍the two musicians, whose bodies ⁤were ⁤discovered on september 22nd.

Torrini, who uses ​the​ social media handle Angie Miller, was apprehended on September 23rd by an‍ anti-kidnapping ⁣unit in the State of Mexico, where‍ the bodies were‌ found.She ⁢had⁤ been reported⁣ missing earlier that day ‍by the Mexico City prosecutor’s ​Office.

Prior ​to their ⁣deaths, B​ King and ⁢DJ Regio Clown ⁤were last seen in Mexico City on⁣ September 16th,‌ having traveled to Mexico ​for a⁣ series of performances. Social media posts show Torrini appearing ⁤with B⁢ King, with⁣ a September 11th video captioned “My favourite Colombian.”

The manager of B King dismissed reports in the Mexican press suggesting ​a link between the murders and drug cartels. Investigations ⁣are being conducted ‍by ‍prosecutors in both Mexico City and⁢ the State of Mexico, but officials have⁢ so far declined to release⁣ details regarding the ongoing inquiry.

Juan Camilo Gallego,⁣ B King’s representative, ⁤who reported the musicians missing and has since sought ‍political asylum in​ multiple countries, ⁤declined to⁣ comment specifically on Torrini ⁢when‍ contacted by Colombian⁢ broadcaster ⁣W Radio on Friday, citing fears for his own‍ safety. “I will not return to Colombia,” gallego stated.

The case has garnered important ⁢attention in both Colombian ⁤and Mexican media. Torrini,a model and mother living in⁣ mexico City,remains⁢ a ⁢person of ⁤interest as authorities continue ‌to investigate the circumstances surrounding the musicians’ ⁤deaths.
