Los Angeles - The world tour of singer D4VD has been canceled following the revelation of a severely decomposed body in the trunk of his Tesla vehicle on Monday, September 8th. The victim has been identified as Celeste Rivaz Hernandez.
Global Music Group, Sony Music publishing, and Wasserman have halted all promotional activities for D4VD in response to the ongoing examination.Several stops on the ”Witell” world tour, including Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and multiple European cities, have been canceled, according to reports from Page Six on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers executed a search warrant at the Hollywood Hills home of David Anthony Burke,known professionally as D4VD,and confiscated items believed to be evidence. Investigators are examining chat logs from a D4VD fan Discord server, which suggest a romantic relationship between Burke and Hernandez.
Photographs circulating online appear to show D4VD wiht a woman resembling Hernandez, and a similar image was featured on a missing person poster from 2024. hernandez’s family has stated she dated a man named david before her disappearance last year.
Notably, a previously unreleased song by D4VD titled “Romantic Homicide” contains the lyrics, “Oh, Celeste, a girl with my name is tattooed on her chest, her fragrance stuck on my shirt like a cigarette.”
Police identified the victim through physical characteristics, including a height of 157 cm, wavy hair, a “shhhh” tattoo on her right index finger, black leggings, a yellow bracelet, and stud earrings. The body was substantially decomposed when discovered, complicating initial identification efforts.
D4VD has stated he will cooperate with the legal process. No suspects have been named as of this report.
