Servotech Solar & EV Solutions Expand in Mauritius

Indian firm Servotech Partners with Mauritian company Enovra to Boost EV Infrastructure

Port Louis, Mauritius – Servotech, an Indian manufacturer of electric vehicle (EV) chargers and solar solutions, has entered the Mauritian market through a long-term partnership with local firm Enovra. The collaboration, announced via press release, aims to strengthen the accessibility and adoption of clean energy technologies in Mauritius, though the financial details of the agreement remain undisclosed.

The partnership will focus on providing Mauritius with world-class solar solutions and EV charging infrastructure, according to Nadir Soobratty, director of enovra. “At Enovra,our mission has always been to make renewable energies accessible and affordable for the Mauritian population,” Soobratty stated. “Our partnership with Servotech marks a meaningful advance in the realization of this vision and allows us to offer our country… solutions that not only meet international standards, but are also more affordable than those of all our competitors.”

Mauritius has seen increasing interest in electric mobility in recent months.Tata.ev,in partnership with Allied Motors,launched it’s EV portfolio – including the Tiago.EV, Punch.ev and Nexon.ev models – in March. Stellantis and ABC automobile followed in May with the introduction of the Leapmotor brand and its C10 model. These developments are supported by a favorable regulatory surroundings promoting both electric mobility and renewable energy sources.

Servotech’s entry further solidifies Mauritius’s position as a pilot market for EV adoption in sub-Saharan Africa, and is expected to accelerate the decarbonization of the transport sector while strengthening economic ties with india, a key strategic partner.
