Texas Woman Found Living with Scottish Forest Community, Claims Happiness Despite Family Concerns
Jakarta – A 21-year-old woman from Texas, United States, who was reported missing three months ago, has been found living with a community in a Scottish forest and has become the concubine of their leader.
Kaura Taylor disappeared on May 25, 2025, along with her one-year-old daughter. According to a report from the Daily Mail on August 25, 2025, Taylor was located living within the Kingdom of Kubala, a forest area near Jedburgh, Scotland, unbeknownst to her family.
Taylor entered England on a six-month tourist visa without informing her relatives of her plans.
In Scotland, she has taken the name asnat, Lady Safi of Atehene, and lives with Raja Atehene and his wife, Ratu Nandi. Some British media outlets have described her role as a servant to Queen Nandi. Photos depict her serving King Atehene, including offering him food and participating in rituals.
The Kingdom of Kubala asserts they are descendants of a lost hebrew tribe who have returned to Scotland to reclaim their ancestral lands.Queen Nandi claims that Black people where expelled from England and Scotland over 400 years ago by Queen Elizabeth I. This claim has sparked debate among historians.Kaura’s family expresses deep concern for her well-being, fearing she might potentially be manipulated.”We are very worried. it feels our hearts are destroyed. Kaura did not realize that his family also cared about him,” her aunt, Teri Allen, told The Independent.
Another aunt, Vandora Skinner, believes the Kingdom is fabricated and views Kaura’s current situation as akin to modern concubinage.
The Kingdom of Kubala lives a simple life in forest tents, bathing in rivers, and prioritizing harmony with nature. Despite this, they maintain an active presence on social media, sharing images of their rituals and media coverage.Kaura, though, refutes her family’s concerns. Through Facebook posts, she states she is happy living with King Atehene and Queen Nandi and accuses her family in Texas of childhood abuse. Her family strongly denies these accusations, stating she grew up in a supportive church habitat.
Kaura’s tourist visa is set to expire in November 2025. Her family hopes British immigration authorities will intervene to facilitate her return home.
