Zelensky Condemns Russian Strikes, Criticizes international response
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky strongly condemned recent Russian attacks on Sunday evening, stating the strikes deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure. The attacks resulted in at least five deaths – four in Lviv adn one in Zaporizhzhia – and caused widespread power outages across the country.
“The Russians do not even try to hide their real intentions. The vast majority of targets were civilian,” Zelensky stated. He accused Russia of openly attempting to dismantle Ukraine’s critical infrastructure ahead of winter, specifically targeting gas, electricity production, and transport facilities.
Zelensky also expressed frustration with the perceived lack of a robust international response, vowing to “Beat so that the world does not keep silence.”
Moreover, the Ukrainian President alleged that Russian missiles and drones rely heavily on components sourced from numerous countries, including the United States, China, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, germany, Switzerland, Japan, South korea, and the Netherlands. “The nearly 500 drones used by the Russians during the night contain more than 100,000 foreign pieces,” he detailed, calling for a complete halt to the supply of these parts.
Zelensky concluded by thanking those nations offering genuine support to Ukraine, emphasizing the need for action beyond mere statements.
