October 24, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor News

Forty teams across five classifications are set to begin the Wyoming high school football postseason on Friday, October 30, 2026, with the road to the state championships culminating at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie on November 13 and 14, 2026, WyoPreps reported.

Head-To-Head Results Settle Class 4A Seeding

The Class 4A bracket features eight teams chasing a state title, with first-round games kicking off at 6 p.m. on Friday. According to Sheridan Media, seeding ties were settled by head-to-head regular season outcomes. The opening round features #8 Kelly Walsh traveling to face #1 Natrona County. #5 Cheyenne Central visits #4 Laramie. #6 Thunder Basin heads to Cheyenne to play #3 Cheyenne East, and #7 Campbell County takes on #2 Sheridan.

Winners advance to the semi-finals scheduled for Friday, November 6. The 4A state championship game takes place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 14.

The Wyoming High School Activities Association lists practice regulations and safety guidelines, including mandatory heat acclimatization protocols managed through the National Federation of State High School Associations guidelines.

Teams that advance through the October 30 quarterfinals and the November 6 semi-finals will earn their place on the turf in Laramie. The three-week postseason concludes when the final championship trophy is hoisted on November 14.
