Al-Marsad Newspaper: A consultant heart surgeon Dr. Firas Khalil revealed the success rate of heart transplant operations in the Kingdom.
He said during an interview with the “Yahla” program broadcast on the “Rotana Gulf” channel: “According to the International Heart Transplant Commission, the success rate of heart transplant operations is 87%, and this percentage according to the centers where heart transplant operations are performed, it reaches 20 or 25 a year”.
He continued, “Our heart transplant operations have reached 40 heart transplants per year, and the success rate has reached 92%, and the Kingdom is among the top five in the world.”
