Women’s Road Races Headline Action-Packed Day 7 at UCI World Championships

kigali,Rwanda – The UCI​ Road World Championships continue today,September 27th,with both the‍ Women Junior and Women Elite Road Races set to take center stage.Following a week of thrilling competition across time trials and mixed ⁤relay events, the focus ‍shifts to mass-start road ‍races, promising a day of intense battles for the rainbow jerseys.

The championships, hosted for the first time ‍in Africa, represent a landmark moment for cycling on the continent, ⁣aiming to inspire a new generation of riders and elevate the sport’s profile in Rwanda and⁤ beyond. Today’s races are ⁣pivotal, crowning world champions in two key categories and setting ‌the stage for the Men Elite Road Race finale on Sunday.⁢ The Women Junior Road ⁤Race kicks off at 08:20 local time, followed by the Women Elite Road Race at 12:05.

Earlier in the week, jakob Söderqvist dominated the men Under-23 Individual Time Trial, while Megan arens secured ⁤victory in the Women​ Junior Individual Time Trial.​ Michiel Mouris claimed gold​ in the Men Junior Individual Time Trial, and Australia triumphed in the Mixed Relay Team ‌Time Trial. Célia Gery and Harry Hudson added their​ names to the list of champions with‍ wins in the Women Under-23 and Men Junior Road Races respectively, and lorenzo Finn doubled⁣ his junior world title​ with a solo win in the Men Under-23 Road Race.
