Trump Claims Hamas made Key Concessions in Gaza Negotiations
WASHINGTON D.C. - President Donald Trump stated Monday that Hamas has “accepted certain very important things” in ongoing negotiations aimed at ending nearly two years of conflict in gaza. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump indicated the development suggests a potential agreement between parties engaged in indirect talks.
“I think it goes very well,” the President added, noting notable progress had been made. He also refuted reports claiming he criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting the Israeli leader is,in fact,”very positive” about the current process.
The White House has not yet detailed the specifics of the “very important things” to which trump referred.
Following Trump’s declaration, Al-Qahera News, a television channel linked to Egyptian intelligence, reported the initial round of discussions between Hamas and mediators concluded in a “positive atmosphere.” Negotiations are scheduled to resume Tuesday in Sharm el-Sheikh,with an Israeli delegation arriving Monday to participate in further talks with mediators.
