Microsoft is expanding processor support within the upcoming Windows 11 26H1 update, currently available to Insiders via the Canary Channel. The preview builds include general improvements and fixes, such as resolving crashes with live subtitles and restoring access to login data windows in Outlook.
This expanded compatibility is notably noteworthy as it prepares the operating system for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite processors, slated for delivery starting in early 2026.Recent Insider previews have also focused on enhancing system search functionality and implementing automatic memory checks following system crashes. Microsoft has only stated that the Canary preview delivers “a small set of general improvements and fixes that improve the overall ‘experience’ for Insiders.”
