Tripoli Students ‍Involved in Violent Knife Attack; Investigation Underway

Tripoli, Greece – ⁣October ⁢8, 2024 – A shocking incident unfolded ‍in tripoli ⁤today as ​two middle school students, ⁢ages 12 and ⁢13, engaged⁣ in a violent ⁤altercation involving a‍ knife, leaving one hospitalized​ in ​intensive care. Teh attack occurred approximately ‌200 meters from ​a⁣ local high school.

The ⁤incident stems from personal differences between the two students, escalating into a physical confrontation‌ where both minors sustained injuries. one student stabbed the other‌ in the hand, and ‍was ⁤subsequently stabbed in the throat ​and back after disarming his attacker. The more seriously injured student was transported‍ to a hospital in​ Athens‌ and‍ admitted to intensive care, while the other was initially treated at Tripoli Hospital.

Disturbing video footage released by STAR⁤ television‌ depicts the 13-year-old pursuing and attacking the second minor ⁤with a knife. The video captures the injured child’s cries for ​help: “Aid! What are you doing?”

“He ‍threw knives at ⁣him.⁤ He almost missed his carotid artery by ‍a millimeter,” ⁢stated the father of the 12-year-old victim to​ STAR.⁤ He further added,”He didn’t stop beating ⁢him.He came out in the street and ⁣asked for help.”

Police⁣ from the Tripoli Criminal prosecution and⁢ Criminal Department ‍have ⁢opened a ‌case file against the minors, investigating ⁢potential charges of severe⁢ bodily harm, hazardous bodily harm, and weapons violations. ‍Additionally, a separate case file has been initiated against ‌the⁤ parents of both students, alleging negligence ⁤in supervising their children. ‍Three individuals have been arrested in connection with‍ the incident.⁣

A ​knife was recovered from the scene and confiscated as evidence. The ‌Tripoli Criminal Prosecution and Criminal Department are continuing their investigation and pre-trial work.
