Spotify and Netflix Announce Landmark Video Podcast Distribution Deal

LOS ANGELES, CA – Spotify and Netflix⁢ have entered into a partnership to distribute select Spotify video podcasts to Netflix subscribers, beginning in the U.S. in early 2026, with expansion to other global markets to follow. The deal aims to broaden the reach of podcast creators and offer ‍Netflix users a new ‍category⁢ of‍ content.

This collaboration arrives as Spotify navigates ⁣challenges ‌in its advertising revenue, despite continued growth in its user base. While Spotify has‌ seen a 65% year-over-year‌ increase in video streaming on its platform, its stock‍ declined⁤ following its Q2 2025 earnings release due to a drop⁤ in ad-supported revenues. Details of the financial arrangement between Spotify and Netflix, including ad-sharing or‍ monetization specifics, have not been⁣ disclosed.

The initial slate of video podcasts moving to Netflix includes popular shows like The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Zach Lowe Show, The McShay Show, Fairway Rollin’, The Mismatch, The Ringer F1‌ Show, The Ringer Fantasy Football Show, the Ringer NFL Show, The Ringer NBA Show, The Rewatchables, The Big Picture, The dave Chang Show, The Recipe Club, Dissect, Conspiracy Theories, and Serial Killers.

“This partnership marks a⁤ new ⁢chapter for podcasting,” said Roman Wasenmüller, Spotify VP and ‌Head of Podcasts, in a statement. “Together with Netflix,we’re expanding finding, helping creators reach new audiences and giving fans around the world the chance to experience the stories they love and uncover favorites they never expected. This offers more choice to creators⁤ and⁣ unlocks a entirely new distribution opportunity.”
