Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim Acknowledges Benjamin‌ SeskoS Slow Start, ‍Vows Support

MANCHESTER, England ⁤ – Manchester United⁤ manager Reuben Amorim⁤ has conceded ⁤that forward ⁤Benjamin Sesko has struggled to find his form since arriving at Old Trafford last summer, but remains steadfast ‌in his belief the 22-year-old will ultimately succeed at the club. Amorim’s comments come after Sesko faced criticism following ⁢a limited performance against Nottingham Forest, where he recorded ‍just 21 touches.

Sesko, signed from RB Leipzig for £73.7 million, has scored only two goals in 11 appearances for the‌ Red Devils. Former⁤ United‍ player and current pundit Gary Neville recently voiced his desire to see more impact⁢ from the Slovenian‌ international, prompting Amorim to address the situation ahead ‌of ⁣this weekend’s match ⁣against Tottenham hotspur.

“Of ⁢course no one likes ‍to hear that, but he (Sesko) is ⁤having a bit of difficulty⁢ and that’s ⁤a fact. So ‍let’s accept the condition.⁣ It’s not ‍personal, it’s nothing. That’s ‌what I tried to explain to the players,” Amorim stated, ‌as quoted ⁣by ESPN. “It’s nothing personal. It’s ⁢an opinion that will change in three weeks. Everything that⁢ is true ‍today, in three weeks, may not be⁢ true. So of ‍course, ‍it’s tough to hear.”

Amorim ‍emphasized the club’s commitment to supporting Sesko through his adaptation to the Premier League and the pressures of ⁤playing for‍ a high-profile club like Manchester United.

“We will help him and we will protect Ben ‌because he works very‌ hard and we want to be successful. So ⁣he will be successful,” Amorim affirmed. he acknowledged the significant pressure Sesko ⁤faces, noting,‍ “If‍ you ⁢don’t perform‌ well every week, you will hear⁣ a lot ‌of things from‌ club legends, from pundits, from the media, and sometimes they are right.”

Despite the‌ challenges,⁢ Amorim remains optimistic⁣ about Sesko’s long-term future at United. “He’s going to be our striker for the long term,” he said. “He will experience difficulties and obstacles along the way,and that is normal ⁣in football.”
