Jakarta – Actor Gary Iskak has died following a motorcycle accident in Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, police confirmed Saturday. He was pronounced dead at RSPPN Sunyoto Hospital earlier today.
The single-vehicle incident occurred around 12:30 AM local time in front of the Rainbow car wash. According to authorities, Iskak’s motorcycle collided with a tree. He was transported to the hospital for intensive care but succumbed to his injuries at 9:00 AM.
South Jakarta Police Chief Commissioner Nicolas Ary Lilipaly stated, “The victim arrived at the hospital at 1:00 AM.” He further confirmed that Iskak was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Pesanggrahan Police Chief AKP Seala Syah Alam added, “Witness statements indicate the victim crashed into a tree and was out of control.”
Iskak, known for roles in films like Virgin and Ayat-Ayat Cinta, leaves behind a legacy in Indonesian cinema. The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
