**Sidah Alatas’s** Body Discovered Tied to Stones
Authorities have apprehended two suspects in connection with the murder of **Sidah Alatas**, a 60-year-old notary from Bogor City. Her body was discovered in the Citarum River in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, bound with stones.
Key Development
Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. “Unit 1 has been secured,”
stated AKBP **Ressa Fiardy Marasabessy**, Kasubdit Resmob Ditreskrimum Metro Jaya Police, on Saturday. He also confirmed that two individuals are in custody and undergoing questioning.
The victim’s brother, **Hasan**, reported **Sidah’s** disappearance after she left home in her car on Monday, June 30, 2025. Contact was lost with her cellphones around 4:12 AM that same day. The vehicle and cellphones remain missing.
Grim Discovery
The condition of **Sidah’s** body suggested foul play, according to initial police reports. “There is a suspected like that (killed). Provisional suspicion there is a cause of unnatural death,”
noted AKBP **AGTA Bhuwana Putra**, Kasat Reskrim Bekasi Metro Police, on Friday.
**Hasan** recounted the distressing discovery: “It was discovered yesterday at 5 pm, I got a call from the Kedungwaringin Sector Police, Bekasi….the part of his feet is tied.”
He believes his sister was murdered and then thrown into the river to conceal the crime.

An autopsy is underway to determine the exact cause of death and identify any wounds on **Sidah’s** body. Police continue to investigate the motive behind the crime and the identities of all those involved.
