The Basketball Tournament: Maryland Alumni Compete for $1 Million

Shell Shock, a team comprised of notable University of Maryland basketball alumni, is set to make its return to The Basketball Tournament (TBT) this Friday. The squad,founded in 2023 by Maryland alums,will compete for the second time after a year’s absence. The team’s roster boasts numerous former players who previously competed for the Terrapins, with legendary coach Juan Dixon at the helm. Former players Greivis Vasquez and Sean Mosley are also involved in supporting the team off the court.

Shell Shock enters the TBT as the No.2 seed in the James Madison region. Thier first-round matchup is against the No. 7 seed Love Virginia, representing the Richmond Pro Am summer league. The game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EST and will be streamed live on YouTube.
