South Central PA Weather: Showers Return Late Thursday After Mild Days
Lancaster County residents are bracing for a return to cooler temperatures and the possibility of showers as a cold front approaches South Central Pennsylvania, according to WGAL News 8 Chief Meteorologist Mike Susko.
After a relatively mild Thursday with highs expected to reach near 68 degrees, a system will bring a chance of showers late in the day, potentially lingering into Friday morning. Susko noted that the bulk of the rainfall is anticipated after sunset on Thursday.
Tonight, temperatures will drop to a low of 30 degrees under mostly clear skies. A brisk breeze will create it feel like the low 20s, though winds are expected to diminish overnight. Tuesday will offer plentiful sunshine with highs near 50 degrees as high pressure moves overhead. Wednesday will see increasing clouds and milder temperatures in the mid-50s.
Friday’s forecast calls for highs in the mid-50s, likely occurring in the morning, with temperatures expected to fall throughout the afternoon. A dry weekend is in store for the Susquehanna Valley, with a chilly start on Saturday, with highs only reaching the upper 40s. Sunday will feature a mainly sunny sky and highs in the mid-50s, with temperatures climbing back to the low 60s early next week.

The next chance of showers is currently projected for Wednesday of next week, according to Susko.
