Prevc & Hoerl Top Training, Stoch Remains a Contender Ahead of Predazzo Grand Prix

Predazzo, ‍Italy – Domen Prevc of Slovenia and Austria’s Jan ‍Hoerl‌ delivered the longest jumps⁢ in seperate training sessions leading up to ​Saturday’s individual ⁤Summer Grand Prix competition at ⁢the ‍Olympic hill Trampolino⁤ Dal ben (HS143). Kamil stoch⁣ of ‌Poland consistently placed among the ​leaders, demonstrating strong form as ‍qualification⁣ approaches.

prevc led the first training series with ⁤a leap of‌ 140.5 meters, besting ⁤Stoch (134.5m) by 1.1 points.⁤ Hoerl then topped the second training round with a jump of 142 meters,‌ exceeding‌ Ryoyu ⁢Kobayashi (137m) by ‌13.8 points. These training results⁤ offer a crucial​ early​ indicator ⁢of​ athlete ⁣performance as the⁤ summer ski jumping season progresses,⁤ impacting ⁣seeding for Saturday’s​ competition and providing‍ valuable data for athletes and teams‌ to refine their strategies. Qualification is set to⁢ begin at 21:30 local⁣ time.

The⁢ first training session saw Kristoffer‌ Eriksen Sundal (137m) ⁢finish third, followed by Valentin Foubert (135m) and Hoerl (134.5m). ⁤ Maciej Kot of Poland secured ⁣eleventh place with 134.5m, while Aleksander Rzeczczoł (133.5m) and Dawid‍ Kubacki (129m) finished ​thirteenth​ and thirtieth respectively. Piotr Żyła landed at 126.5m, placing thirty-sixth. The first ⁢training​ runs utilized starting ⁢beams 18⁤ and 17.

Hoerl’s⁤ winning jump in the second training came‌ from the short run, specifically the 15th ​beam ‍at the request of his coach. Following Hoerl and Kobayashi, Manuel ‍Fettner (136m) took third, with Stoch (136m) and Kubacki (134.5m) ⁢rounding​ out​ the top five. Maciej Kot placed ⁣tenth (134m), while Rzeczczoł (131.5m) and Żyła (129.5m) finished twenty-eighth and thirty-fourth, respectively. The second training ⁢was ⁤conducted ‌from the 17th platform.
