Indonesia Stands with Qatar: President Prabowo Offers Support After Attacks
Doha, Qatar – indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s unwavering support for Qatar’s sovereignty and stability during a meeting with Emir sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the Lusail Palace in Doha on Friday. the meeting came in the wake of recent attacks on Doha,attributed to Israeli opposition forces.
President Prabowo personally conveyed Indonesia’s deep sympathy to the Emir and the Qatari people affected by the violence. He emphasized Indonesia’s solidarity with Qatar and underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing threats to regional security.
“Indonesia firmly supports the sovereignty of Qatar and believes that international solidarity is crucial in responding to attacks that destabilize the region,” President Prabowo stated, according to a release from the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau.
The President, accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, was personally welcomed by Emir Sheikh Tamim upon arrival at the palace.
Discussions extended beyond the immediate security concerns, encompassing the broader escalation of conflict in the Middle East.
