PAN Members Urged to Act with Humility and Sensitivity

Jakarta, Indonesia ‌- August 30, 2025 -‍ National Mandate party (PAN) Chairman Zulhasni Syahputra,‍ widely‍ known as Zulhas, has instructed ⁢all members ‍of​ the PAN⁤ faction in the DPR⁤ (House​ of Representatives) and DPRD (Regional‍ People’s⁣ Representative Council) to demonstrate sensitivity and humility in ⁣their conduct. The directive, issued ‌via a post on the Instagram account @amanatnasional Saturday, comes amid public scrutiny of several PAN ‌lawmakers.

Zulhas urged members to “act,⁤ look, and speak ‌according to propriety,” emphasizing the ‌need to be “sensitive to the situation, full of empathy, do not flex, do not be arrogant. humble in hearing aspirations or responding to public criticism.” He also stated that all members ‍must ​be prepared for evaluation regarding their⁢ status, position, benefits,​ and facilities.

The call for greater accountability follows recent controversies involving PAN representatives Eko Hendro purnomo, also known ​as Eko ‌Pratrio, and Uya Kuya. Eko Pratrio publicly apologized for dancing‍ at the MPR (People’s consultative‍ Assembly) ​Annual Session, ‌acknowledging it caused public unease and promising ‍self-betterment.”With my humility Eko‌ Patrio‍ conveyed a deep apology to the public for the anxiety that arises from what⁤ I did,” he stated.
