Driver Injured in Single-Vehicle crash Near Mölschow
Vorpommern-Greifswald,Germany – A 42-year-old man was injured Tuesday evening,September 2nd,2025,in a single-vehicle accident on Kreisstraße 27 between Mölschow and Bundesstraße 111.
According too police reports, the driver of an Opel lost control of his vehicle for reasons currently under investigation. The car left the roadway in a right-hand curve, struck a tree head-on, and subsequently overturned.
Witnesses provided initial care to the injured driver until emergency services arrived. He was then transported by rescue helicopter to the University hospital Greifswald with injuries described as serious, but not life-threatening.
officers detected the odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath during the accident investigation. A breathalyzer test registered a blood alcohol content of 2.12 per thousand. His driver’s licence was confiscated, and a blood sample was taken.
The vehicle sustained meaningful damage and was removed from the scene by a towing company. Total damage is estimated at approximately €12,200.
The investigation is ongoing.
