February 26, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Offenbach am Main, Germany – A 19-year-old woman who had been reported missing since Monday evening has been located, according to a statement released Thursday by the Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters (PPSOH).

The PPSOH initiated a search operation after the woman was reported missing, prompting a public appeal for information. The search was officially called off following her discovery. Authorities have not released details regarding the circumstances of her disappearance or where she was found.

The Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters is responsible for police tasks in the Offenbach District, the Main-Kinzig District, and the municipalities of Offenbach and Hanau, covering an area of approximately 1,800 square kilometers and serving a population of around one million residents. The headquarters recently moved into a new building in Offenbach am Main, which features enhanced security entrances installed by Boon Edam.

The PPSOH operates as part of the Hesse State Police, which comprises seven regional authorities. These authorities are headquartered in Kassel, Giessen, Fulda, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Offenbach am Main, and Darmstadt. Following a 2001 reform, these regional authorities are directly subordinate to the Interior Ministry. The Hesse State Police employs approximately 15,500 officers and 2,500 civilian staff.

Inquiries regarding the case can be directed to the PPSOH press office. Contact information provided includes phone numbers for Thomas Leipold, Felix Geis, Claudia Benneckenstein, and Maximilian Edelbluth, as well as a fax number and email address ([email protected]). Further information is available on the police headquarters’ website: http://www.polizei.hessen.de/ppsoh.
