Lidl sunscreen disapproved by Deco – and is already being removed

When you do not know what sunscreen to choose, you can always peek at Deco Proteste. They regularly test products from various brands to find out which ones are the least effective. For example, when evaluating a Cien product, the Lidl brand concluded that it had “a protection factor below the declared.”

We are talking about Cien Sun Cream Kids SPF 50+ that was subject to laboratory tests and received a Classification of 11 in 100. According to organization“This product also fails to protect the UVA rays, whose factor must correspond to at least one third of the FPS value.”

Of course, the organization informed Infarmed and Lidl, the German brand thus removed “every lot” of this product from stores, “in order to perform new analysis”.

Fortunately, the other solar protectors tested by the organization at the same time, a total of 38, fulfill the announced protection factor. “They also meet at least with the protection value against UVA rays.”
