Lakers vs Suns: NBA Picks, Predictions & Odds for Feb 26 Game

February 27, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

PHOENIX – Jalen Green’s buzzer-beating three-pointer in double overtime secured a 113-110 victory for the Phoenix Suns over the Orlando Magic on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Mortgage Matchup Center.

The improbable shot, a contested three from the right corner, came after Jevon Carter had tied the game for Orlando with a three-pointer of his own with just 1.1 seconds remaining. Green, who had struggled throughout the game, finishing 6-for-26 from the field and 2-for-6 from the free throw line, connected on his second three-pointer of the night as the horn sounded.

Grayson Allen led the Suns with 27 points in his return from a four-game absence due to a sprained right ankle, scoring all seven of Phoenix’s points in the first overtime period. Collin Gillespie added 19 points, while Green finished with 16.

Orlando’s Desmond Bane led all scorers with 34 points, shooting 12-for-18 from the field before fouling out in the first minute of overtime. Paolo Banchero contributed 26 points and 14 rebounds for the Magic, who had previously won four of their last five games.

The Suns were without Devin Booker, who is expected to be sidelined for at least a week with a right hip strain. Dillon Brooks’s night was cut short after just seven minutes of play, leaving the game with what sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania was a broken left hand. The team has stated it will not provide an official update on Brooks’s injury until Sunday.

The Magic closed regulation with a 6-0 run, capped by an Anthony Black dunk with 57 seconds left. Jordan Goodwin scored 17 points off the bench for Phoenix before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with an apparent leg injury. Oso Ighodaro added 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Suns.

Orlando guard Jalen Suggs did not play due to back spasms. The game was a defensive struggle, with both teams shooting poorly from the field. Combined, Phoenix and Orlando shot 38.1 percent 27.7 percent from three-point range, and 54.6 percent in the paint. The 223 combined points were the fewest in a double-overtime game since March 2023.

The Suns will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, February 26, at the Mortgage Matchup Center. The Lakers are currently favored by 5.5 points, with a moneyline of -210 compared to Phoenix’s +170. The over/under is set at 218.5 points, according to BetMGM Sportsbook. Predictions from various sources offer differing outlooks, with Dimers giving the Lakers a 68% chance of winning, while Predictem.com suggests betting on the Suns with the points.

FOX Sports projects a Suns victory, 116-112, while Odds Shark predicts a Lakers win, 119.2-109. Bosun Akinpelu of Odds Shark attributes the Lakers’ edge to their strong offensive performance and rebounding ability, particularly in the absence of key Suns players.
