Washington D.C. – High-level trade discussions between the United States and Japan have concluded, with both nations signaling a commitment to continued dialogue. Akazawa Ryosei,Japan’s Economic Revitalization Minister and top tariff negotiator,met with U.S. officials in Washington for a third round of trade talks. The discussions focused on trade expansion, economic security cooperation, and existing tariff measures.
Both sides have agreed to maintain close consultations at a high level, with potential discussions between national leaders anticipated at the upcoming G7 summit in Canada next month.

Following the meetings on Friday, Minister akazawa addressed reporters, highlighting the progress made during this round of negotiations.
