India ‍Overtakes Japan⁤ to Become World’s Fourth Largest Economy

New Delhi – ⁢india has surpassed Japan to become the world’s fourth largest economy, according to recent analysis by consultancy Jupiter Asset‍ Management. The shift, largely‍ fueled by a growing economic clash in West Asia intensified by U.S.tariffs⁤ and a re-evaluation of globalization, marks a significant moment⁢ in the global economic landscape.

While global attention remains focused on the economic competition between the United States and China, India’s ascent has been a quieter, yet powerful, progress. Jupiter Asset Management projects India’s economy will continue to expand at a⁤ rate of 6.5% annually.

This⁢ growth is underpinned by⁢ a combination of favorable demographic trends, structural reforms, ⁢and strengthening institutions. India maintains important‍ ties with Western economies while also playing a⁤ key role within the BRICS economic alliance. The consultancy estimates India overtook Japan in 2025.
