LANSING, Mich. – Governor Gretchen Whitmer is currently in Germany leading a michigan delegation at teh IAA Mobility Conference in Munich,continuing a trade mission focused on attracting jobs and investment to the state.
The Governor’s visit follows stops in Singapore and japan, where she aimed to forge new economic partnerships and strengthen existing relationships. IAA Mobility is one of the world’s largest mobility trade shows, providing a key platform for Michigan to showcase its automotive industry.”We’re going everywhere to make sure Michigan is competing and winning jobs and investments to bring back home,” Governor Whitmer stated. “Over the past week,we’ve built new relationships in singapore and deepened longstanding ties in Japan.Now, at IAA in Munich, Team Michigan will show the world why our state is the global epicenter of mobility. Germany is a significant international trade partner for Michigan, with more than 400 German companies currently operating and investing within the state.The trade mission is being supported by the Michigan Economic Development Foundation (MEDC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing michigan’s economy.
