Vehicle Strikes Pedestrians in Berlin, Injuring Four
Berlin, Germany – September 4, 2025, 15:11 – A vehicle veered off the road and struck a group of pedestrians in the Wedding district of Berlin, Germany, on Thursday, injuring four people including children.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 PM local time at the intersection of Seestrasse and Nordufer Streets. According to police statements reported by Tagesspiegel, the vehicle lost control for reasons currently unknown and mounted the sidewalk, hitting the group.
Bild newspaper reports that approximately 15 children, aged 7-8, were walking in the area at the time. Three children sustained minor injuries, while a female officer accompanying the group was seriously injured. All four injured individuals were transported to the Virchow Clinic for treatment.
Police have launched an examination into the cause of the accident and have detained the driver for questioning. Initial findings suggest the incident was accidental. Traffic on Seestrasse was temporarily disrupted following the collision.
